Peoplesafe is the leading provider of employee protection services in the UK, partnering with public and private sector organisations to ensure employees are safe as they do their job.
We were asked to come up with a campaign idea that would maximise Peoplesafe’s partnership with national charity, Crimestoppers. Having worked with Peoplesafe on the partnership from day one, we wanted to go beyond the standard tick box partnership contract, where both parties support each other’s owned initiatives. Instead, we looked to create one collaborative, meaningful campaign with equal buy in from both.
‘Step up. Stay safe’ is the result. This wide-reaching initiative not only bolsters the Crimestoppers mission ‘Speak up. Stay safe’, whilst supporting Peoplesafe’s commercial objectives, it also positions our client as a thought leader and voice for change. While Peoplesafe provides better peace of mind and creates the tech that helps protect people in unsafe situations, it also works to amplify the need to improve levels of safety in our communities and workplaces.
Step up. Stay safe has been pushed across both partner’s comms channels and is now part of Peoplesafe strategy ongoing. It’s helping to raise awareness of the widespread personal safety concerns which, to date, have been barely discussed or prioritised legislatively in any meaningful way. It also recognises and flags the forward-thinking employers willing to go the extra mile, beyond basic tick-box compliance, to safeguard employee safety and provide better peace of mind for the people that make their business tick.
Any people-centric employer signing up to the Step Up. Stay Safe Pledge receives immediate access to a bank of employee safety-related resources and is able to display the Step Up. Stay Safe kitemark. It also has the opportunity to join other campaign advocates for online and live events, all focussed on better personal safety measures and on what is now urgently required to improve them nationally.
